When I was at college, my tutor used to talk to me about the imaginary corridor that runs between art and design: that it's a transitional space between two disciplines, a space without rules. I was free to establish my own. I thought of these conversations often during my collaboration with British contemporary womenswear brand Chinti & Parker. Their collection of cashmere sweaters and cotton t-shirts, which feature my paintings, was unchartered territory for all of us, I think, and our combined sense of freedom and trust informed the process all the way from conception to the initial paintings to storyboarding to seeing the first samples. It has been an exhilarating time.
This project is a representation of where art, design and fashion can meet. I am hugely grateful to Chinti & Parker for the opportunity and I hope that you like it.
From an initial selection of sketches and paintings a favourite was chosen for the collection

The t-shirts are made from organic jersey with printed reproductions of my work stitched in place (they are awesome)
Chinti & Parker also commissioned me to paint individual boxes and stationery for the press as part of the launch of our collaboration
